- ➤ Wake Forest residents supported Ericka Ruffin Lucas—former principal and coach's wife—after she was hit by gunfire on Aug. 29 near East Nelson Avenue; police said a teen is suspected in the shooting and her family said she remains in the hospital. ABC 11

- ➤ North Wake Theatre will present two performances of “The Marvelous Wonderettes” on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre—located at 405 S.
