The Town of Wake Forest and local veterans’ organizations are holding the 64th Wake Forest Memorial Flag-Raising Ceremony on Sept.

8 at 11 a.m. in Town Hall’s Centennial Plaza to honor Patrick George Breen of the US Marines; the service includes flag raising by the Wake Forest Fire Department Honor Guard, patriotic songs, special remarks, memorial wreath laying and will display the American flag through September—set to be presented to the Breen family on Oct. 6.
