- ➤ Wake Forest Rotary Club will host the 2026 State of the Town Address & Dinner on Monday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m. at the Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St; advance tickets cost $15 and include a meal as Mayor Ben Clapsaddle outlines community progress and future goals. City of Wake Forest
- ➤ Wake Forest Police will host Coffee with a Cop on Monday, Jan. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Stewart’s Bistro on Rogers Road so community members can ask questions and build relationships with officers — attendees are discouraged from making speeches. City of Wake Forest
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Flu hospitalizations have risen for nine straight weeks in NC, with WakeMed reporting 81 admissions between Dec. 22 and Dec. 29 compared to 34 last year. Updated data will be shared today to guide residents on when to seek care (handwashing and masks help slow the spread). ABC 11
