- ➤ Fatima Velazquez-Antonio, a Wendell worker, was detained for over a month by Border Patrol at a Raleigh job site before being held in a detention center (in Georgia). She was released Monday and returned home Tuesday as local community rallies supported her while her attorney filed a habeas corpus petition. ABC 11
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The John Wall Holiday Invitational began on Friday at Broughton and Southeast Raleigh high schools and continues this weekend as top high school teams compete for scholarships (10 seniors will win $5,000 each) through the Triangle Educational Advancement Foundation. ABC 11
