- ➤ Wake Forest Police Department invites community members to join the Second Annual Polar Plunge to raise funds for Special Olympics NC. The event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Heritage Lake Pool, 804 Heritage Lake Road with registration starting at 9 a.m. and a $75 minimum fundraising requirement, plus an option of $20 for those too chicken to plunge.
