- ➤ Town officials in Stem improved parade safety with no-cost vehicle inspections, emergency stop procedures, and a requirement that drivers be 25 or older — measures that highlight what proactive safety can achieve. - ➤ The Wake Forest Police Department will host a BBQ fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Town Hall visitor parking lot, 301 S. Brooks St, where $20 BBQ plates include generous portions of BBQ, baked beans, and mac and cheese prepared by Oak and Ember Barbecue. Online orders will be accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 with only 250 plates available, and proceeds will support the department’s participation in the 2025 Staccato National SWAT Championship and purchase of needed gear.
