COMMUNITY NEWS

  • A Triangle group is organizing relief efforts to help families in Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa made landfall Tuesday and left homes destroyed and roads impassable. The president of the Caribbean Association of North Carolina said local and international stores will supply needed goods — while many families still await news of their loved ones.  ABC 11

CULTURE NEWS

  • Firebox Theatre Company will perform The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre from Dec. 19 to Dec. 21 with shows at 7 p.m. on Friday and at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $25 for ages 16 and older + $10 for those 15 and under, and Santa will appear before the 6 p.m. shows on Dec. 20 to Dec. 21 to add holiday cheer.  City of Wake Forest

HEALTH NEWS

  • On October 29, 2025, the Diaper Bank of NC held a drive in Research Triangle Park—delivering diapers, formula, and wipes to furloughed federal workers who showed valid ID. Nonprofit leaders warn that with SNAP benefits ending November 1 and prices rising, many Wake County families may soon face increased hardship.  ABC 11
