COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Wake Forest partnered with Visit Raleigh & local towns to launch the free Wander Wake County map and app that shows over 300 miles of trails and 138,000 acres of open space. The tool lets users search for trails, save park itineraries, and plan routes using data from local parks and restaurants.  City of Wake Forest

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre will present four performances of Celtic Angels Christmas on Dec. 12 and Dec. 13 (with shows at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.) with tiered seating and tickets costing between $40 and $45 plus tax; tickets are expected to sell out quickly.  City of Wake Forest

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Wake County School District released its 2026-2027 School Enrollment Plan to address overcrowding — trailers and overflow assignments have been set up at schools like White Oak Elementary, Mill Park Middle, and Apex Friendship High. The school board will vote on the plan on November 18 while the district reviews survey feedback on family concerns.  ABC 11
