GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Contractors have begun clearing trees and building interchanges at White Oak Road + US 70 + Rock Quarry Road + Auburn-Knightdale Road on a 10-mile section of Triangle 540 that will link I-87 in Knightdale with I-40 to complete the outer belt around Raleigh after more than 35 years of work. The project will be finished by 2028 and is set to help local businesses gain better access in southern Wake County. ABC 11
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Today, Wake County opens a walk-in flu vaccine clinic at the Public Health Center at 10 Sunnybrook Road in Raleigh from 1:00—6:00 p.m. State health officials reported the first flu-related death of the season occurred earlier this month when an adult in western NC died from complications.
