- ➤ Tickets remain available for the Spirits of Wake Forest ghost walk in Downtown Wake Forest, which is set for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings until Oct. 30—each tour lasts about one hour and 15 minutes and begins at Town Hall on 301 S. Brooks St. City of Wake Forest
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wake County and the City of Raleigh are asking for proposals to fund community projects through hospitality tax revenues that must improve facilities for sports, arts, culture or conventions with a minimum value of $100,000. Applicants must submit proposals by Nov. 6 and an evaluation team will review the submissions for recommendations in early 2026—final votes are expected in February. ABC 11
- ➤ The Wake Forest Police Department launched a public comment portal in 2023 to collect community feedback on its compliance with CALEA standards—residents can submit both commendations and concerns related to public safety performance. City of Wake Forest
