- ➤ Today, Fred Smith Company is reducing traffic to one lane on South Franklin Street from Rogers Road to Artisan Park Drive from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.—a measure for the street widening that will cause delays through mid-November. Flaggers and signage are in place—motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes—as the project aims for substantial completion at the end of September with final work finishing by early November. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Josh Stein is set to ask lawmakers today to stop Medicaid cuts that will lower provider pay by at least 3% starting Oct. 1. More than 3 million residents use Medicaid and advocates warn that care may be reduced if state lawmakers do not act soon—lawmakers have one week left to decide. ABC 11
