- ➤ The NC House passed Iryna’s Law on Tuesday to change how violent offenders are handled—ending cashless bail and imposing stricter bond conditions—and the bill now awaits Governor Josh Stein’s review. Named after Iryna Zarutska, who lost her life in a Charlotte attack, the law is designed to improve public safety. ABC 11
- ➤ The North Carolina Alliance for Safe Transportation launched its second Teen Safe Driving Ambassador Program today after a deadly crash in Apex, giving teens hands-on guidance and offering $1,000 scholarships for safe driving advocacy. Participants will share tips on social media to help lower the high teen crash rate on NC roads. ABC 11
