CRIME NEWS

  • A man and a woman were shot and killed at an apartment complex in the 8100 block of Underwood Arbor Place on Friday afternoon in Cary—police are investigating the case.  ABC 11

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Attorney General Jeff Jackson launched Operation Robocall Roundup on August 8 to crack down on illegal robocalls in North Carolina. The effort sent warning letters to 37 voice service providers and will notify 99 downstream providers if they do not follow FCC rules (companies must comply within three weeks) (the crackdown is led by a task force of 51 attorneys general).  ABC 11
