Good morning, Wake Forest.

A Wake County family is searching in Florida for their missing 18-year-old son, Giovanni Pelletier, who disappeared near Sarasota while on vacation with his cousin after graduating from Fuquay-Varina High School in June—he sent his mother a text saying 'Mom, help me' and search efforts have not yet found him.

Disaster recovery centers are open in Central Carolina to help those affected by Tropical Storm Chantal following a Type I Disaster Declaration by Governor Stein — residents and business owners in Wake County can access state funds for repairs, housing, and medical needs while SBA loans are available for rebuilding.
