- ➤ Wake County landlords have been waiting for months for rent payments from the local housing authority—some reporting unpaid amounts over $6,800 and $9,600 while tenants risk eviction. - ➤ Beginning today, Park Construction of NC will close South Allen Road from Quail Drive to East Wait Avenue on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through July to replace the water main safely — motorists are advised to use the detour and consider alternate routes. City of Wake Forest
