  • On Monday, May 11, a ceremony at Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh honored 25 fallen Wake County officers as part of National Police Week; several city buildings were lit blue to remember those killed in the line of duty.  ABC 11
  • Holding Park Aquatic Center at 133 W. Owen Ave. will open for the season Saturday, May 23 at 10 a.m. with daily admission fees starting at $1 for residents and online pre-registration & paid options; Punch Passes become available Monday, May 18.  City of Wake Forest
  • On May 8, Wake Forest Parks held ribbon-cuttings to open Dunn Creek Greenway Phases 3 and 4 and Miller Park at 401 Elm Ave. The greenway adds 2.42 miles of trails connecting local parks, and Miller Park now features improved picnic areas, trails, and a restored stream (Phase 1 upgrades).  City of Wake Forest
