COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Wake Forest will host a free paper shredding and electronics recycling event Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Wake Forest Center for Active Aging (WFCAA) at 235 E. Holding Ave, with a drive-thru drop-off and household limits on items.  City of Wake Forest

SPORTS NEWS

  • Registrations are open for Wake Forest girls’ youth volleyball for ages 9-16 via Team Sideline with fees of $60 for residents and $100 for non-residents, and late registration with a $15 fee runs May 1-8 if spots remain. Practices begin in May with games at community centers (Flaherty Park, Joyner Park, and local school gyms), and volunteer coaches are needed.  City of Wake Forest
