- ➤ On April 2, the Wake Prep Guardians beat the Falls Lake Academy Firebirds 1-0 in a tight 1A match (with strong defensive play and a late goal from Brenna Barnes) and the teams will meet again at 5 p.m. on April 22 (as they continue their season). The Wake Weekly
- ➤ The Tarheel Swimming Association approved a new rule that says swimmers must join teams based on their birth sex for the upcoming summer season. The rule passed by a two-thirds vote and one team left the league while new teams joined—families now decide how the change will affect them. ABC 11
