  • A chase that began on April 10 when Clayton police saw four people fleeing from Havana Smoke Shop on Clayton Boulevard ended in Wake County when a silver 2019 Kia Sorento, stolen from Raleigh, crashed into a parked car in a Knightdale apartment complex and one suspect was arrested following a K—9 search.  ABC 11

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Colorado State University has predicted an above-average hurricane season for North Carolina with 17 named storms, 9 hurricanes, and 4 major hurricanes—expecting a 26% chance of a major hurricane landfall. NOAA has not yet released its forecast, and the season will start on June 1—prompting preparations in coastal areas.  ABC 11
