  • Wake Forest police are hosting the ‘Cover the Cruiser’ fundraiser to support Special Olympics NC today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wake Forest Sam’s Club on Royall Cotton Road (officers will sell $5 stickers that locals can personalize to cover a cruiser).  City of Wake Forest
  • The Town of Wake Forest is accepting nominations for its 2026 Tree of the Year contest through Tuesday, Mar. 31 + finalists will be selected and community voting will decide the winner during Forest Fest on Saturday, Apr. 18.  City of Wake Forest
  • Wake Forest residents can register online for the National Trails Day 5K/3K walk/run at E. Carroll Joyner Park on Saturday, June 6. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m.; entry fees vary by race, and all registrants by May 8 receive a T-shirt.  City of Wake Forest

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Wake Forest Fire Department is offering American Heart Association CPR Certification classes at the Center for Active Aging, located at 235 E. Holding Ave, on Saturday, March 21 at 9 a.m.—participants can choose a four-hour or a seven-hour session for $35, and only community members with a Wake Forest address may register.  City of Wake Forest
