EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Local school principals said the Restart Program has given schools such as Timber Drive the flexibility to adjust hiring and scheduling practices to boost teaching today. Principal Brandon Warren noted that these changes helped his school move out of low-performance status. ABC 11
- ➤ The Wake County Public School System board held its first reading Tuesday on a plan to add wrestling to the concussion protocol — a measure previously limited to football. The proposal will go to a second reading before it becomes district policy. ABC 11

- ➤ Former state senator Floyd McKissick Jr. recalled meeting Jesse Jackson in the 1960s and described him as a passionate fighter for fairness & equality after he passed Tuesday, Feb. 17. ABC 11
- ➤ Wake County EMS will host a public meeting on March 9 at 7 p.m. at the Northern Regional Center (350 E. Holding Ave) to explain its new call response plan that dispatches the right resource based on a study of emergency calls. City of Wake Forest
