- ➤ The large dog park at Flaherty Dog Park remains closed through late February or early March as winter storms delayed work on permanent fencing, drainage installation and soil erosion repairs. Meanwhile, the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department maintains a rotating schedule for small and large dogs at the small park (signage posted at 1100 N. White St. informs users). EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Wake Forest Fire Department offers CPR Certification classes at the Wake Forest Center for Active Aging on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 9 a.m. Residents may take a four-hour or seven-hour session covering CPR, AED use, and basic first aid for $35 per person + preregistration is required.
