- ➤ Wake Forest officials urge residents today to reduce energy use during peak hours from 6-8 a.m. to help ease high power demand brought on by colder weather — they suggest lowering heat, covering drafty windows and reducing appliance use. City of Wake Forest
SPORTS NEWS

- ➤ Wake Forest Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is hosting Adult Co-Rec Kickball with registrations open through February; entry is $325 per team. - ➤ The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is accepting registrations for Adult Spring Softball through February. Teams will pay a $550 fee and can register online or at Joyner Park Community Center, with league games scheduled from mid-March through late May on Monday, Wednesday, and possibly Thursday nights.
