GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Local NCDOT crews pretreated roads with brine and will return Saturday to address hazards from wintry weather (increasing black ice risk) on our highways. HVAC technicians also report more calls from residents with heating issues as temperatures drop. ABC 11
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A new public health facility on Swinburn Street held a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday and will officially open on Feb. 23. The four-story center replaces a facility that operated for nearly 40 years and features modern design elements like outdoor WiFi and waiting areas for young children. ABC 11
