  • Teachers held a statewide walkout on Wednesday (Jan. 7) at 7:45 a.m., organized by NC Teachers in Action to call for better support and funding for public education. Educators from 52 schools, including Wake County, pressed for higher pay and improved benefits.  ABC 11

  • NC health officials said they do not plan to change childhood immunization guidance despite the CDC reducing its recommended vaccines — urging families to consult their healthcare providers as risks of measles and respiratory viruses remain elevated.  ABC 11
