Joey McCrea Wiggins Park, formerly Taylor Street Park, will open Saturday, June 13 at 7 a.m. at 416 N. Taylor St + the park offers a new accessible playground open daily and an upgraded sprayground with police-themed features funded partly by the Wake Forest Police Department and community fundraisers.
Wake County school leaders reviewed proposals on Tuesday that may raise school meal prices by 25 cents to cover rising food costs and support campus upgrades, including repairs at Cary High School. Board members will also review resource officer contracts as a nonprofit serves 37 schools with extra meals.
